Nonprofit Leaders: You Can Use a Pitch Deck to Guide Your Donors in Investment-Level Conversations

The other day I saw a post on LinkedIn that read something like...“A fancy pitch deck doesn't get major donors to give more money.”

Well, my client who just landed a $750K Gen-Ops gift would somewhat disagree with you.

Why?

Because in the solicitation meeting, the donor said “that’s the best deck I’ve ever had presented to me.”

#micdrop

Here’s the thing…So many nonprofit CEOs kinda found themselves in fundraising. They’ve tried all the traditional fundraising activities that the sector tells them to do.

On the flip side, so many funders are waiting for you to sit down and have a conversation about your true need in an organized manner. They are dying for more details about your multi-year plans, clarifications on your programs, and a clear articulation of your financial need (⬅️this is how you get gen-ops dollars, BTW).

So, does PRESENTING a fancy pitch deck with pretty photos and graphics get major donors to give more money?

NO.

Does a confidence-building tool that assists fundraisers in listening and guiding donors through investment-level CONVERSATIONS lead to more gen-ops dollars?

YES.

All my clients learn how to do just this. They simply speak an entirely different language to their donors. When they learn this, individuals, institutions, and corporations grow their gifts tremendously.

Whenever you’re ready, here are THREE things you can do next:

She breaks their teams free from the limitations of transactional fundraising and helps them reimagine their entire approach to revenue generation.

The high-performing leaders Sherry works with want to find and secure more unrestricted revenue from investment-level donors. They simply need more funding to do what’s in their Strategic Plan. To achieve this, she transforms their teams and boards into high-ROI revenue generators - revealing how they can align every hour they spend fundraising with new principles that double and triple donation sizes.

As a result of learning her methodology, Sherry’s clients regularly add 7-figures of gen-ops revenue to their bottom line by learning how to attract investment-level donors that WANT to fund their work. But the biggest transformation they experience is knowing the exact strategy, path, and team that will propel them to generate the 2-10X dollars their strategic plans require.

Sherry attributes the success of her business to her passion for modeling radical confidence to the future CEOs in her house - her two teenage daughters.
