Unrestricted Donations For Your Nonprofits

I probably don't need to tell you that UNRESTRICTED donations make the greatest difference to…your mission, your annual growth, and your long-term sustainability.

But here's what I hear too often...

⚠️Nobody wants to give unrestricted gifts. They aren't sexy.
⚠️People like to give to tangible projects.
⚠️We don't know anyone who would give large unrestricted gifts.

These statements are NOT TRUE.

Flip those statements around and ask these questions:

❓Does my development staff know how to lead donors through investment level conversations?

❓Does my team know their numbers well enough to present the financials and explain how unrestricted gifts propel programs?

❓Does my team do the majority of their solicitations via application, event, or appeal?

❓Is my team doing the things that ATTRACT investment level donors who GET IT (and would give unrestricted gifts)?

This is a skill-set issue. It’s time to invest in your staff learning how to do this. You'll quickly see the money that's likely been sitting on the table for years.

As a result of learning her methodology, Sherry’s clients become sustainable, diversify revenue, and know how to add significant amounts gen-ops revenue to their budgets.
