Nonprofit Leaders: Here's the type of revenue growth your organization could have . . .
If I had to summarize one of the most rewarding things I do for nonprofits, it would be this:
I see an organization’s revenue potential and help them achieve it.
Here’s what type of growth is possible for your small nonprofit organization . . .
(Annual revenue trajectory from a real client example):
2020: $766K
2021: $1.2M
This year: $1.6M
Next year: $2.0M
Three year’s out: $3.0M
But, you know what's frustrating? When we get in our own way when we're trying to grow.
There are a few phrases I hear during the budgeting process that KEEP organizations from being on this trajectory:
Regarding Expenses:
🛑We could never present a budget with that much growth in it. We’ve never grown that much in one year before.
Regarding Income:
🛑We could never present a budget with that much growth in it. We’ve never raised that much money before.
Can I be blunt?
This approach is actually WHY you aren’t growing. It’s WHY you aren’t attracting investment-level dollars. It’s WHY your budget isn’t growing.
This is where you commit to invest in learning HOW to do different things that get you different results. Growth is really practical when we let it be.
